Girls’Day and Boys’Day at Lewens

Lewens_Karriere_2

On 23 April the time had come: Lewens opened its doors for this year’s Girls’Day & Boys’Day. Together with pupils from grades 6 to 8, we explored different areas of the company.

The nationwide Girls’Day and Boys’Day is designed to help young people get to know careers they may not have come across before. Moreover, this programme introduces pupils to Lewens as a company at an early stage and sparks their interest in the industry.

The combined Girls’ and Boys’Day gives young people the chance to discover new careers free of stereotypes, their own strengths and shape their future with greater confidence.

A hands-on day at Lewens: here’s what the programme looked like.

A varied programme awaited at Lewens: the participants got to know various departments, gained insights into production and stopped by the sewing department. They were able to weigh, tie and pack parcels. The pupils were also welcome to lend a hand with goods inspection, picking and applying shipping labels.

What started as a look behind the scenes turned into a day full of impressions, questions and hands-on experience. Thanks to all the participants for their curiosity, attention and energy. We are already looking forward to next year.
